Game Summary

Each series includes three racing events in which the player participates; Race Day, Drag Race and Elimination. Each series includes artificial intelligence (A.I.) controlled cars to compete against; the Classic Series includes classic cars, Muscle Series includes American muscle cars and the Sport Series includes sports cars.

 

The game beings in the Classic Series (level 1) and the player’s aim is to complete all three racing events going for a 1st Podium Finish to unlock the next series. Once all three series are complete the game is won.

Details

The initial aim of the game is mastering three different series; Classic Series, Muscle Series and Sports Series is integrated into the storyline as the player has been selected to compete in the greatest racing challenge of all time the Three Series Challenge. The drivers selected are accomplished drivers who have mastered the art of driving several different types of cars from old classic cars, American muscle cars and exclusive sports cars. For the player to showcase and compete against the best drivers the Three Series Challenge provides three levels. Level one is Classic Series, level two is Muscle Series and level three is Sports Series.

Race Day event - In Race Day the player must compete against five A.I. controlled cars anticipating bends and turns for three laps.

 

Drag Race event – In this event the player is in competition against an A.I. controlled car and must race against it in a linear drag race. The player’s reaction time and how quickly they can tap the screen to change the gear.

 

Elimination event - The Elimination event pressurizes the player to beat the clock every thirty seconds in order to stay in the race as the last positioned player is eliminated every thirty seconds. This includes five A.I. controlled players with the last standing player crowned the elimination champion.

Roles

Designing - Creating the GUI design on paper then creating the GUI elements in Unity, integrating buttons and images to navigate through levels.  Developing 

​

Coding - Implementing all aspects of gameplay from the car accelerating, braking by using Unity Input class for tilt and speedometer. Creating Wheel Colliders to manage each car wheel and implementing A.I. car's using a base class. Managing the game by creating three different management systems. A different race management system for each event, game management system for passing data within scenes, scene management system for navigating through levels and much more.
